The Nine Prayers

​

These nine prayers spoken over three-fold, 

Do I lift up to the Gods of Old, 

By Cerridwen's cauldron of power,

By Gwyn ap Nudd's liminal tower, 

By Rhiannon's grace and sovereignty, 

By Arianrhod's authority,

By Blodeuwedd's bright blooming flower, 

By Math's judgement from which all cower, 

By Bran's great strength of mountain and tree, 

By Lleu's rise into autonomy,

By Manawydan's wisdom dour,

Do I beseech the Gods this hour

To bless my work and silver my speech, 

To shield my loved ones from evil's reach,

To ward against insidious charm, 

To protect against malicious harm, 

To cleanse ignoble thoughts from my mind, 

To preserve my health and illness bind, 

To keep both my words and actions true, 

To bring Them honor in all I do, 

To guide me on the path of virtue.
